Two years later ........ :NC Well, the she-shed became my workshop for repairing and repurposing furniture for my little used furniture store! I ran out of room so a room addition was needed. So I got the landladies blessing to enclose the porch on her "she-shed" I went scrounging and found a full view storm door for $20.00 on craigs list and a triple pane 5 x 7 monster window on marketplace for $50. Went to the lumber yard and purchased 2 sheets of T1-11 at 45 something a piece and in opening the new bundle there were 3 damaged sheets on top so I asked to buy them also and got them for $10.00 each instead of $40 .This weekend we went from this to this

about 120 sq feet now enclosed at a cost of just under $200.00 in materials and $40.00 for my helper. Final trim and sealer will probably add another $60.00 but that is still only a build cost of $15.00 a square foot. I love (almost) FREE !

Well all the new porch walls are trimmed out

The full view storm door ($20.00) is now an awning window

My $50.00 yard sale window and free patio door are all trimmed out

Mom gave me the eagle long ago and the live edge was a cull out of the local sawmills cull pile.

These two free patio doors went in a year or two ago to block the north wind but are now finished out pretty.

While starting to convert the porch to more shop space I found four drawer base cabinets being removed from a hotel that was being remodeled .....

Started loading drawers and decided I needed to compartmentalize the mess.

Image

Found these at Walmart for $3.59 each . Did the math 3 per drawer times 12 drawers at $3.59 each = $138.29 after tax added. With me being the king of cheap I decided NO in fact Hell NO !

Image

I was attempting to cut this in half to divide up the hamburger and found them to be all but indestructible even with a sharp knife

Image

So, I started washing them up and installing them....

By the time I am done it should be well organized ....
