There have been a few of these stories lately. If I was single, I would have something like that. Most people only use a small amount of sf they pay for in their houses and most of it is just storage for their junk.

I'm big-time into small-house living. My current 1640 SF house is way bigger than I need. I've drawn up plans for a house under 1000 feet in living space that I want to build.

Another good site is this one:

These are too cool. I always wanted a tiny house; I'd love to build one when the kids finish school!

if you had a house like that you wouldn't have to worry about the kids wanting to move back home

I'm thinking a 600 square foot cabin with a loft.

I can't believe she has no shower. My Aliner has even less square footage yet has a shower...and I don't even have a loft to put my king sized bed in.

I love her solar panel though. I'd shur like to have one of those on my rig! I especially like her 300 possession rule - it's a great exercise in mental disipline. It's a great way of grounding someone who has high values and great moral courage, as she obviously has.

I wonder what kind of TV she has :QM

Little pricey there at nearly a grand for a set of plans for a 8x12 house.. and a simple one at that. A set of plans for nearly any large garden shed would get you the same thing, tho I really don't see the need for the plans.

Have there been any attempts to build "upstairs" storage into a teardrop? --Vic

I'm with you Sushidog. I think she was deep into the cabin idea. If she had been given any RV info I'm sure she would have squeezed in a shower.

I liked that $6.00 a month utility bill! What I could do with the money I'd save if I lived that like that for even one year!

Since I'm short and wide I would need 2 parking spaces
