outside from now on

Due to hieght restrictions the build must now leave the shop and be finished outside. Between the 2 of us so far we've spent just under 60hrs this does not include tearing down the old trailer.

The main disadvantage to a true balloon frame is a lack of fire stops (an advantage if you are trying to rewire an old house). One of the other disadvantages is finding descent lumber. Our house has the end/gable studs that are 30' long and true 2X4.
You might want to check out granny flat plans or even available rentals.

Thanks Shadow, 30 ft. studs, hate to think what they would cost today. As a overmature person ladders are out maybe stairs if well built but then after a staircase might not be enough room to make a sandwich.

if you look in my album I have picture of tiny houses that have stairs instead of ladders
my question is what is your wall height from floor to ceiling?
awesome build by the way
There is a world, just beyond now,
where reality runs a razor thin seam between fact and possibility;

Anywhere I roam where I lay my head is home....

Slow,thanks for the encouragement , at present I don't plan on living in it but I have threatened my female boss as it can make a good dog house. There is no firm plans for the interior bunkhouse, office,guest cottage, rental, and maybe move it to a rv park on the ocean. I will sort it out over the summer after lockup is complete. Sandy

Droid thanks for the tip I did look in your album and have concern over the amount of space required as the interior width will only be about 6ft 10 inches. A staircase although can be set up well for storage will also tie up alot of sq.feet. may have to use another cut off and draw a interior plan Sandy
