UPDATE !

Not having much time during the week I rely heavily on my weekends to make progress so Sat and Sun were blitz build days. Roof sheeting is complete all t-111 siding is on and sealed. Some of the trim is even temporarly installed on the nose will remove to paint and reinstall permanently. Electrical boxes are mounted and wire is just pulled into the boxes. One of the back doors is swinging
( barely ) and a large front storage cabinet is mounted to the front wall.
2 layers of 3/4 blue foam is on the floor just waiting for the subfloor to be installed over it. Lots of beer and a lot of galley mock-ups. A few lively discussions with ol what's her name about the galley layout and what we can and can't do.
I will give her full credit the rear driverside door will open 180 degrees from its closed position and she devised a fold down table built by utilizing a large cabinet door I had laying around. This door will be hinged at the bottom and when lowered will become the cook top table. This door will be mounted to a shallow box frame that will do a couple of things 1st it will act as a strongback to stiffen the 3/8 T-111 door and secondly it will seal the box during transport. In this box will be all the 3" or less bottles and small items in easy reach. Think of it as a combo spice cabinet and medicine cabinet.

Unanswered questions ...... Type of paneling appropriate to a "barn" ?
Type of light fixtures ? almost need to be flush as it is a "slouchy"
( that's a standie you can't quite stand up in) Well at least one of us can't! Type of floor covering as it will see foot traffic not knees like the teardrop. Flip down dual twin beds mounted to the sidewall or an air bed that can be stowed in the front cabinet. I know pictures pictures I will snap a few monday night and get them posted. I am getting antsy to take it around the block and see how it pulls.I know this one WILL get a tongue jack it is all I can do to lift the tongue off of the ground I am hopeing it is just nose heavy. Well it's 3 am and the dog is back in and I gotta get up in 2 1/2 hours better get a little shut eye.

Me too! (Subtle barn red, not red-red.)

When people see that coming down the road, they're going to think you're moving a shed on a trailer. But people in campgrounds will know what it is and you'll be giving tours of your barn every time you camp! Hwy Patrol may stop you to take a look, too. You could use it to advertise your barn-building skills. Just put a sign in the window when you're on the road!

Being a slouchy ( that's a standie you can't quite stand up in) I was looking for low profile lights for the ceiling. I found these on e bay and ordered 4 of them. They were less than 6 dollars a piece with shipping. I couldn't buy the bulbs and switches for that ! I like the 3 watt night light feature combined with 2 aimable 10 watt spot reading lamps. This build I am going with all 12 volt lighting and powering up with a 12 volt power supply ( yard sale find) or the on board battery.

I love the pic !

I think the yellow wide load sign is a bit redundant. I think most folks could spot it as a WIDE load right off

The Suzuki went around the block with the barn last night. That little Esteem handled it quite well.

Here it is all ready to drive 30 miles to my work to get his new aluminum roof installed

Here is a poor inside shot of the nose cabinet temporarly installed.

Well the shake down cruise went as well as most of our gathering trips.

8 miles out I noticed a flash in my rear view mirror. There it went again then in slow motion the rear door just laid down and started to drag being held on with only the bottom hinge. :x

A couple nails and a hammer an we were on the road again. :hammer:

Pulls like a dream but several have mentioned the tongue being a bit undersized and I now agree. Upon arrival home as I peered thru the kitchen at my little strange trailer I noticed a piece of the front trim was also missing. :x

Now please don't misunderstand the trim and door were very very temporarly tacked into place and were scheduled to be removed for painting anyway. I am not THAT bad of a carpenter :D

I'm guessing that many people wouldn't have even mentioned things falling off on the first towing.

We have experienced loose lug nuts eating a hub!

Cutting a tire completely in half with an ill placed bolt

Ply seperations in a tire

changing tires without a jack

It was just another typical outing :rofl2:

The green sub floor is that zip panel it is a fiberglass faced osb.

ain't it red hope the liberal use of white trim tones it down a bit.

Keeping with our farm roots the color is massey ferguson red oil based tractor enamel.

Many thanks to Jeff " scuba" for his help

We even took time to get on the bikes and make a beer run.

We needed some liquid saw dust remover ( ice cold)

Jeff snapped this one of me on the road.

Do you think I need a wide load sign on my tee shirt ?

We stopped at the grocery and I impressed jeff with 50+ dollars worth of groceries and a case of beer packed onto the wing!

But we had fun makin saw dust all day
