Yet another great idea I like the counter as I can see many possibilities with a counter like that even if its up and you place it down it could be good for a wrap around kitchen and use it as a breakfast bar or just like you said more counter space sometimes those big meals can take up alot of space great idea Bob Henry

While my future Build of some Decade will have the usual Cutting Boards that go over a Double Sink, there's a neat, parallel idea I saw while traveling.

While visiting the DESY Research Accelerator in Germany, the American 'running' the operation had the usual splay of Papers and items all over a large Table. He pulled out a nice piece of Birch Plywood with 4 hard Rubber Feet on the corners. He set it down over the mess of Papers and - ta da - we had '2nd Story', clean surface to set Product Samples on. This same idea could be used in any Build to create 'new', temporary Counter top.

!
now what about attaching cushions to the top of those slideouts and you have instant seating no need to have extra chairs to get in the way

seat cushions could be a great idea. may also want to add drop down legs, or slide blocks under the edge for support.

My biggest space saving idea is what I call Bathroom in a cabinet.
Basically build a cabinet with a toilet on the bottom that slides out.
Then a drawer for storage.
then a sink above that which may or may not slide out.
then cabinets above that.
Shower pan would be in the floor infront of this cabinet and covered with a panel. And either have walls that flip out around it or a curtain hung from the ceiling which the track would go back into the cabinet. This area would be part of the main area or a hallway.

Entire bathroom would only take about 18" or 24" deep and 32" wide.

Speaking of casters I have been scouring 3 different goodwill's for a couple of skate boards. I want to remove the trucks and mount them on the bottom of the dividing walls for the bottom rollers. I caught a glimps of 2 but both were in tow under the arms of 10 - 12 year olds :x
