Got a freebie!

Postby doug hodder » Sun Aug 04, 2013 2:09 pm

One of my customers brought this one in the other day. They are cleaning out the garage, the last one I got from her was trashed, just a parts stove. I never turn down anything that is offered regardless of it's condition. Who knows what they may have and if you turn one down, they may figure that you don't want them anymore. This one however has been treated pretty kindly. It's a 413F. They were made in '61 then again in '63 and '64. Should be a runner as it is. What's nice is that I also got the "official" Coleman aluminum griddle with it. It has a couple of notches on the bottom so that it fits right on the bars of the grate. Small reservoirs for run off. Doubt I'd ever cook anything that would splatter, but it would be good for pancakes and grilled sandwiches. I'm really getting "stoved" up. Doug

The griddle is very cool and the stove looks fairly decent. Nice deal!

Nice stove there Doug. I should get a stove via the USPS tomorrow. I had to do some retail therapy. It is an older Prentiss Wabers. I have an even older PW that is a good runner.

I’m jealous. I had to pay $3 for mine, $2 for a stand and $2 for a griddle.

Oh and $15 for this one, another $2 stand and another $2 griddle.

Just scored these this weekend + a few other lanterns and goodies.

That is a great stove. Huge tank. Does that stove have chrome legs? I have not seen that before on an older stove.

I looked at the pic again and I think its just the flash that makes them look so shiny.
