Picked up a nice 426A and and stand, in the original box!

Just thought I'd share my newest score. I kind of stumbled upon this stove. When I saw the shape it was in, with the stand - I couldn't pass it up!

I think it looks great next to my 1955 Benroy. The stove was only made from 51-53, so it's period correct. :)

Thanks for letting me share,
Ted

Wow! The paint looks like it's in amazing condition and I didn't know they made stands to go with the stoves. I've never seen one before. Congrats on your great find!

Wow, that is a great looking stove. I have never seen a 426A before. I just bought a 426d this weekend so I now have a user. I got 426B several years back but it is to nice to burn much.

Nice score. It looks right at home next to that beautiful Benroy. Nice job on the restoration there.

Thank you all for the kind words.

I did my best to restore/refresh the Benroy to how it would have looked when it left the Benroy line back in 1955. I doubt it would have been polished, but I had to give that a shot at least once. I will put the final reproduction "Benroy" factory stickers on it this weekend. I also still need to do some final cleaning of all the trim. I'm pretty happy with what I've accomplished in *just* over a year.

Thanks again,
Ted

My 426 no letter is my main "go to" stove for camping. I really like the 3 burner ability. Nice set of steel legs for it also. Original steel legs bring good bucks! Looks great with the Benroy. Just like campin' in '55. Now about that cooler.....you need a Penguin to go with it. Doug
