Here are a couple for you all....

I wanted to see if I could use the lanterns like ornaments on a huge pine we have. It did work, and with a lot of lanterns and some help it would make a real neat photo. Maybe next year!

Merry Christmas to all!

:applause: Well done boys! I forgot about the light off. Been babysitting my grand daughters for two days and am plumb tired when they leave.

I fired up 37 lanterns last night and had them placed along my little lane from the county road and around my house and a bunch on the front porch. I started fueling and pumping them up a week ago and started firing them up about 4:30 pm and had them pretty much put out by 6:00. Sun sets her about 5:01 here. UPS guy delivered a package just before 6 so he got to see it and was in good cheer. Guy i work for said when he came over a ridge more than a mile from my place said it looked like a runway. He and his kids got a kick out of it. Several other people stopped by. Only 2 lanterns went out but the other was getting dim as I wasn't going to go around and pump them all up as they do not self pressurize like in warm weather. Started to bring them in about 8:30 and was done by 10. I still have lanterns scattered around the living room.

Did not get good photos and took a video but about all you see are dots of light and the vehicle I drive has head lights on all the time.

Do not know what I will do next year. Probably cap the lights at about 20

If I knew people would show up and I was up to it and weather not to bad I would like to get some stoves running and hand out hot chocolate, coffee, tea, and such. But these bones are getting to old for the weather to stay out side for several hours like that. Might have to snag a Boy Scout or two.

Thanks guys. But I am going to have to limit it next year and not put out every working lantern I have. I will be one year older and about 10 more lanterns.

If I lived closer I would pop over and help you put them all out next year and serve the hot chocolate.
I bet that looked beautiful

Haven't seen much from Slow lately, wonder if he joined in the light off

A few posts up he said that he had worked a bunch and didn't have time to light up before going to see Angie. Maybe he will have time to get one lit for the new year.
