Custom stove , just for fun!

Postby Woodbutcher » Tue Apr 08, 2014 9:23 pm

Thought I would see what a Sears stove might look like. Because I don't have one, I sort of made one. It is a basic 425 stove and I just cleaned it up and painted it to match the Blue Sears lanterns. My collection already has a few Blue Sears lanterns and I made a custom 502 so this rounds out the collection, unless I do a cooler.

Maybe all the Sears stuff in the Midwest has been found. Last year I did not buy any Sears stuff. The few I saw were so over priced I just laughed and walked on.

Go for it Slow, There are a million Coleman stoves, but very few John Deere's out there. Give it a try.

That will work nicely, but you gotta sing Joe Diffie songs while you paint it. :R

slowcowboy wrote:what a about john deere stove? I can buy the decals for tractors on ebay and I got a can of john deer yellow for the font. I got cans of john deere green and I got a modern stove I found in a flea market that I thought was old and turned out to be a 89.

and it still has fuel in it. I am thinking its a good one to hit with the john deere green!

and slap a logo of a running yellow deer on the lid!

Years ago when I overhauled my Datsun Pickup motor I painted the motor John Deere green and yellow. Block and Head green, other parts Yellow.

Oh, Nice stove. I have yet to see any Sear stuff around here.
