Trial and Error Pop Top

Postby davis131 » Sun Jan 25, 2009 4:34 pm

MY PLAN: To build a grasshopper style trailer with a pop top in the middle for standing room only. This is what I came up with so far, but I am not sold on it yet. I want to be able to fold the sides down (not in pics) and pull the front and the back in to make it fold flat....but my mistake so far is the top has to be longer and my roof has to be deeper. I think I have to use steel and not aluminum as my guide rails.

You may find it helpfull to look at George Teagues Compact GT pages at http://home.earthlink.net/~g.teague/ . It has a central pop up area for standing headroom.
