I agree, no pressure treated wood. Too many chemicals there, too close to your pillow.

Thanks...(he says as he grabs a tape measure and runs out the door)

Pine and goo is prolly cheaper then treated anyways.

Hey, on a positive note, when you come to LCG III with a bigass trailer with a deck, we can always use it for a band stage.

Now, we just need a band -- and permission to play loud music.

This, of course, assumes that you will get that far in the next two months. :R

Ok...here is the real pics...

As you can tell, I decided to go with a frame under my floor. I cut some more metal out of the front where the "party deck" will be. The 2X3 frame is roughly 24" on center and the 1X2's (that I ripped off the 2X4's to make 2X3's) will go around the outside. I did a little more than what's in the pics...I black gooed the bottom of the floor plywood (1/2 inch), broke the tongue jack, and made about 15 trips to Ace Hardware to get $h!t that I forgot to get. By the way, black goo is nasty. Saturday was a shopping day, started out going to McCoys Lumber here in town, and found out they wanted $35 to deliver 4 sheets of plywood! :? The wifey was going to Lawton, so I thought..."I bet I can find a way to strap 4 pieces of ply to the top of the Durango" so off we went. Note to self...hauling plywood on top of the Durango on a verrrry windy day is NOT an good idea. I did save 5 bucks a sheet, 35 bucks on delivery charges, and I got a pretty decent workout holding a strap down through the sun roof all the way home. Well more work to follow next week, GAWD I'm glad I finally got started. 8)

I got a good test for the black goo. The last thing I did yesterday was paint the plywood and left it laying spread out over the frame to dry, and woke up this morning to lots of rain. :x I hope that stuff works. Maybe I should watch the weather reports, and buy a tarp.

There should be an award for the most pages in a trailer build thread
