Thanks for the advice on brake actuator. I'd done some looking since last post... and found several very much like the one from Eastern Marine; all at about the same price. Probably will install something like this eventually. (This summer?)

And if you rigged up a hand brake on the tongue, you could use the parking brakes if your on a campsite with a slope and unhooking.

One of the members on the Ford Festiva forum I'm a part of did something really similar to this, but it wasn't for camping. He uses his as a utility trailer that locks. He put the e-brake on the tongue and put a lock box over top of it for added security, so now it's a lot harder to roll off with!

looks like if you do a REALLY long road trip, there is a spare secondary gas tank... ;-)
yeah, looks too short for sleeping in. you carry lots of camping gear in there, though.

I believe that it's a complete auxiliary system as well, with battery and air supply. Not trying to hack the thread, everyone. I just think it's a cool thing to do! Now if I had TWO Festiva rear ends... Hmmm...
