Funny you posted that... We just built the trailer this weekend.

Still some painting to do and the build the bed and cover it. We should be able to camp in it for the first time in the next few weeks.

Yeah Im a little curious as to how it tow's. The teardrops with the low profile Im sure are easier, but the bow tophas got to catch some air. Now Ive heard people getting something for the roof of their tow vehicle to deflect the wind over the top of the vardo.

lots of neat ideas in this one....the original American Vardo plans can be well adapted...I'm again at loose ends and have been thinking of building another vardo.....this time on a dual axel 8 X 20, with a much higheer profile and a solid wooden roof......Got that Idea because I picked up a roll of solid copper sheathing....)...

I've been thinking since I built my original, that I should have spent more time on detail..but then I wasn't planning to keep that one so it stayed quite generic......NOW, I think it's time to do the copper clad roof, acid etched glass and iron stove routine for a keeper.....
Keep thinking outside the box and all manner of ideas will become reality......

Hey SaGR,

I came across this Vardo site that may give you some ideas.

http://www.gregsgypsybowtops.co.uk/default.html

He does a real nice job on a TT chassis. I'm sure it shouldn't
be too hard to do a similar one with a hard roof/sides.

Thanks for the link!

Update on ours: build is still going. Finding I have little time to work on it but we're still plugging along. Was working on the 12v side this weekend, 110 side last weekend.

Just need to finish the bunk extension and then the top goes on!
