Design & Construction of anything that's not a teardrop e.g. Grasshoppers or Sunspots

star trec shuttle profile ?????

Postby bobhenry » Thu Sep 08, 2011 11:39 am

I gotta quit thinking but when I saw it on TV 2 weeks ago my brain jumped into gear like a 72 ford transmission. I have tried to forget but its just too neat.

Go for it! Would be cool.

Kat and i talked about doing this when we were planning our tear. Went back and forth between the shuttle and a standard tear. Finally, the tear won out.

The pods could be fenders over the tires, with storage ahead and behind the tires.

You can't use those for storage as they are the warp nacelles and the electromagnetic field created there would microwave any food or destroy anything you put near them.

Oh, wait . . . you're not building a real one, are you?
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

I was stopped at a gas station about a month ago and a guy asked me if he could take some pictures of my trailer; then he said it reminded him of a shuttle craft ....(being somewhat of a 'closet' trekkie myself, I was honored....although wife didn't think it was that funny...go figure)
.....maybe if I do a few mods (like a number, a nacell on each fender, a phase cannon port on the front.... )

Of course if it was a real one you wouldn't need a TV, of course gas stations selling Dilithium Crystals are few and far between, much harder than Diesel. :D

I like the idea of pontoons

Hi All -

There was an older thread here
http://tnttt.com/viewto ... ht=galileo

Featuring Lone Wolf's thoughts for his Galileo 7 tiny trailer. Here are some pix from that thread:

Wow. This thread is full of awesome! I was never a Trekkie, and never will be, but that definitely makes a neat trailer design!
