It looks to me like a link to a Yahoo Groups site, so anyone that isn't a member of that group can't open the link.

That's pretty sweet and a heck of a lot easier to build than the bowed roof. But I sure do love the look of the bow.

I have to agree with Deryk peeked roof says house to me bowed roof vardo, I'd like to use the design some what for my current build small tweeks here and there and maybe I could make it into my cabin have to shorten it by about 4 feet maybe more.. Still like it though

IM bettin that pitched roof the flat ends lots of windage....a real bowed roof might not grab as much...unless ya have an overhang like mine lol

I started playing with the idea of a bay windowed vardo last November.

I didn't get very far. I was concerned about the roof overhang at that point...

Mike...

P.S. The Vardo plans you found are real nice! But it's got a ridged roof, rather than a bowed roof!

Mike, that is interesting....I wonder if the roof can be cut to match the bow shape on the front to help spread the wind a bit on the front?

Do you mean putting a pitch om the roof that ties into the window....interesting idea

I had an idea for side bay windows that had shutters for when you were moving make an air tight shutter and have the window fold inside get to camp open shutters fold up window then you could be over the legal width I think it would feel a lot bigger inside

This comment is at a level of detail that may not be yet discussed, but this arrangement misses a big opportunity:

Image

If one of either the toiler or closet door were hinged the other side, and both were made the full width of the compartment, they could both be opened by 90 degrees at once to enclose the walkway area between the toilet and the closet. This would turn what is now probably an unrealistically small compartment (both the toilet and a person need to fit in there, at the same time, yeah?) into something quite usable, even if not spacious.

The area in a toilet compartment that is not used by the toilet itself is just a terrible waste of space for the 23.5 hours per day that it isn't used.
