I agree!

I saw something similar in a larger travel trailer, with 2 pocket doors. The shower is where the closet is in these plans. That made for a rather nice usable area.

yeah if the bowed part was tied into the roof, Id like to assume it would help divert the drag a bit, has to be better then a flat front with an overhang like I have now. Add 3 windows to the bowed area and a shelf, below it storage accesable from the outside.... the bed would be right next to the shelf and windows and if you put in an appropriate sized window that if you were camping somewhere with power could slide a window ac unit in....I really like this idea....Mike your Awesome!

I had a sailboat once with a similar arangement with the doors and the fiberglass floor rose up 3 or so inches on either side with a shower drain so it could be a shower as well then close the doors it hides the toilet on the left and a sink/showerhead on the right and was a little hallway to the bed area.

That's why I have been measuring up all the stuff I have so far that I'd like to stick inside of my trailer..I use the paint program and have drawn up some of the items that will be going inside and I have labeled everything so I can play with the locations of things before I put them in permanently

Those Vardo plans look interesting. Did you notice if the person that did those plans built it yet? Are there any photos of that?

If you make the front of the roof flush with the front wall for aerodynamics... it'll look a little like this...

One other thing, I changed the bay window to a pointy nosed front!

Not yet I still have to save up enough $$$ to buy the trailer and then the materials can be bought a little each month I have laid it out in a 12' and a 14' trailer design. I am hopeful to get started sometime in the near future.

I have developed this plan for a 12' trailer as well as the 14' trailer. To answer you question:
Not yet however they can be made rather easily. I use a CAD program called "Vectorworks" a Macintosh program.
What kind of views are you looking for? I don't know how to do rendering very well.

I used the pitched roof only because it would be easier for me to build (and insulate)... A bow can be substituted but the walls must increase another 10-14 inches to make for the headroom, or a drastic bow would have to be done. Bows are typically +/- 8' on the radii or about 12-14 inches in the bow. looking at the section the bow would be just below (2-3") the inside of the pitched roof and then the thickness of the roof lower still.

Do you know what angles your roof lines are on as for my cabin idea I think that would be about the angle I'd like to go with with the exception of 2 feet how much of a difference is there between your 12 foot and 14 foot design

goimg over the plans there is one dimension that seems to be missing and that is the actual height of wall that is angled outward But I've been playing around with some ideas I might do a straight wall with no angles as I'd like to keep it as close to a house shape as possible...figure I better spend some time in designing it right the first time instead of ripping it apart and having to do it over again and agian
