Hi all,

I bought the "Acapulco" plans from Glen-L a couple years ago. Although my wife and I have a nice fifth wheel to use anytime we want, I've always wanted a smaller camper for ease of travel/parking/packing/preparation and also so I can pull a car trailer for racing or taking the four wheelers along. A truck camper was the perfect solution in my mind.

My dad and I have spent a lot of time on this project and we changed some things around. Some of the construction is heavier than specified, but since I don't plan on installing a fridge or oven I am hoping it stays about the same as if I had followed the plans. We also did the normal update to the shape of the front. I'm trying my best to keep all the receipts. The door came from Ebay (new surplus) and the windows are from an Ebay store (also new). I'll edit the post later with the seller names when I find them.

The interior paneling is from a local yard and is 1/8 luan with a really nice wallpaper on it. I also bought the matching joint tape so the walls are hopefully going to look like a factory built camper. Unfortunately I can't find any white ceiling panels except these http://randgsupply.com/Warehouse/Interi ... panels.htm (I want the Ruff Stuff) and they say they won't ship them. They look like every other camper roof I've seen, so I have no idea why it's so hard to find them anywhere.

I'm not sure what I'm doing for the outer skin yet, but it will probably be flat aluminum sheet glued directly to the wood. With the windows and all the trim holding the centers and edges, it should work out great with no visible screws or seams. Same thing for the roof. Here come the pics.

This is where I'm at today. The timeline is:

Floor built - 10/28/12
Box started - 05/05/13
Box & wings done - 5/13/13
Rear & side walls framed - 5/19-5/20/13
Rear wall skinned in plywood and installed - 7/13/13
Left wall skinned in paneling - 7/20/13
Right wall skinned and both walls installed - 7/24-7/25/13
1st ceiling panel framed and installed 7/27/13
Cabover floor framed and sheeted - 8/03/13

Dead times have been winter and deciding on wall and (now) ceiling paneling.
