I have been working to get the other box off for the last few days. It is very slow going on the second one. There are (or were) welds that held the box directly to the frame. Cutting these off with damaging either (with the frame taking priority) has not been easy. I have been forced to cut a lot of the smaller welds off by hand using a hacksaw blade and a handle that only hold one side of the blade. Perfect tool for a job like this, just makes it very slow going. Fortunately I only have two largish cuts and it is off. One cut I can use my disk cutter, the other one is about 3 inches long and through 3/8 angle iron. I will have to do the second cut by hand as well just because of the way the trailer is put together and I am trying to save as much of the original steel as I can.
Progress is slow at this point, but it is still progress.
