Popular Mechanics Clamshell for 21st century

I found this design on the web, but not on thia forum, so I'm puting it up for a quick discussion.

Can it be replicated for a 14' design?

As I see it, the reverse slope front would tend to make the hitch weight lighter at speed. Rounding it out would also have the benefit of more useable space Inside.

I found a supplier for 2500N gas struts, with 800mm travel as their strongest and longest struts. Or maybe the struts from a lifting rear door iut of a large cargo van?

This one and Airstream's Torpedo are on my list in case I can't repair our Adria.

Thanks
