I know the feeling! I've been working on mine for about a month now, and it's been quite an experience. I'm not sure when mine will be "finished", but I have set a deadline for "camp-worthy." Once I've achieved that, I can do the finishing at my leisure.

Im not really sure to be honest. i think its kinda what I saw in my head when i started to design it. The trailer is 5x8 and im gonna use a queen size mattress which only leaves about 9 or so inches... Im thinking that area will be used to hide the wiring, battery and propane hose. Thank you by the way! Im actually getting ready to work on her as we speak so hopefully ill have an update pic soon.

Hey JoeBob,
Maybe you could hinge the galley counter to lift up. That way you could have a compartment for your battery etc.

Got the stove i picked up from a wrecked rv for $20! never been used!Image

Another look at the "new" stove in the countertopImage

Started to add the insullationImage

I cant stop looking at the camper that is coming alive more and more everyday. I had a good weekend and had so much fun working on the camper...which i still need to name...it was taken down to just the floor on the trailer. After coating some edges and glueing everything back together it just fell together. All i can say is a weekend full of theropy!

Got a name for the trailer finally!

Postby joebobsqrpants » Mon Mar 14, 2011 7:22 pm

"Camp Couch"...It just came to me. When i was in the Marine Corps, when someone was getting out everyone was asked what they were going to do. The most common reply was im gonna be stationed at "Camp Couch". My wife and I were both in the service, she was Navy and I was USMC,we are both out. So now we can be lazy at "Camp Couch" anytime.... as soon as I finish it of course.

Im using 1/8 tempered masonite ($8) and the joints are right next to the masonite in Lowes. I glued and stapled it up. My trailer is 60" wide so of course im having to figure out new ways to "stretch" 4' wide everything. I plan on priming like crazy and painting interior.

I was wondering what it was! I picked up the 1/8" Luane I will be using in mine today. Trust me I understand the stretching because mine is 66" lol. I will be doing a lot of stretching for headliner and the roof of the tear.
