Here are a few pics of the 1949 Kampmaster I just finished up.
Enjoy. The first pic is how it looked when it arrived from California,Thanksgiving day.

With all that restoration in progress - were there any technical drawings made?

Beautiful job on the restoration!

From basketcase to showplace!

The owners are very lucky to have such a fine
craftsman redo their piece of camping history.

Cheers,

That thing is mint. Great work. You've really brought the best out in it.

Great work - and not a small task.

How much of the wood and plywood is original now? Or is it really a new trailer with some old parts on it?

Thanks everyone for the kind words.

And to answer Angib question. New trailer with old part's

The only original wood left in the trailer.
There are six pieces in the back lid itself, and two short pieces that support the bottom of the very back of the trailer. That's it.
The rest was to rotted to reuse.
As for the cabinet's, I would say about 10% of the wood was reused.
And the upper cabinets are new to the trailer.
As you can see from the photos the trailer was a mess.

The owner of this trailer has already dropped off a 1954 Ranger pop up for me to rebuild. And he said he also has a 1961 Holiday house that he would like me to work on.
I think he's starting his own vintage trailer museum.

Great job Wayne... please keep us up to date on the other restorations.

It was nice seeing you and Lise and Morgan again at the ADK... we just got home yesterday and had a great trip.
