Dual purpose 4x4 Harbor freight build!! UPDATE!

Postby mykdee » Wed Jul 06, 2011 10:06 pm

Just picked up a 4ftx4ft trailer from Harbor Freight, will have multiple uses.
1st: chuck wagon/camping box, possibly put RTT on top later!
2nd: use it for work, to hold tools.
First putting it together

Added floor, coated it with water proof and UV resistant paint!

Welded in some supports so I could add a tool box up front.

Pic of what it will look like once I bolt it on!

 Looking good, nice idea on the supports on the front I'm building a small one and wanted a front box but hadn't really thought about that part. Now I can add that before I put the body on the frame.

And that's why I love the build threads helps me catch some things ahead of time :applause:

Could only find one picture during the construction phase of Itty Bitty; but it proves tolerances could get a bit close on the tongue. My box isn't as big as yours and I still have to watch my knuckles when cranking the jack. (Itty Bitty is on a HF 4x4 with the tongue stretched an extra 2 feet)

Got the extended tongue today, went with 72" versuses the factory 50" tongue! Hopefully it will help with backing it up. Just drilled the holes and painted it, waiting for it to dry so I can install!!!
