There's no welds done back yet. It's "almost" ready, but not quite ready to weld back. And Philip is correct...there's mostly a lot of hit n miss welds on the frame, but it stayed together well since it's build date of Oct, 81. Like the ends of the C-channel is only welded on the top/bottom and few have any in the long part of the C's... But this is just ready to clean a bunch and weld back up. If you notice the large pencil mark on the outside rail...that's the 8' mark from the rear. I think I will just put a 2"x2"x 1/8" angle across the 8' mark for the cabin and use the heavy crossmember to help support a front goodie box.. The frame weight is down to 320 pds or slightly less and there's still 60-70 more pounds to remove...so it's good.
With the factory heavy plating in the siderail C-channel open area there's not much way of this frame going south if I do my part on the small sections like in the pics.. It will be welded more then the factory did.. lol
