After a week off, and no self-imposed deadline, I did a little electrical work tonight.

I wanted to install the cabin lights. Trouble was, I couldn't remember exactly were I'd put the blocking in the wall. Good thing I had my portable documentation source handy.

Looking better.

Ready to fire up. Almost time for a battery.

I'm still figuring out if I will HAVE to do anything further. Texas does has a Travel Trailer category, which also entails issuing a real title.

I don't know if you got an answer, yet, but I also live in Collin County, Texas. If you have a license plate now, then you are done. You will not get a "title" from the state. Just keep renewing your plates every year.

Where there's a ham radio op, there's always 12v available for testing.

Slowly but surely (don't call me Shirley), the galley is coming along.

After the first trip, the cooler niche looks like this.

Image

Today we did a little drawer building. K&V 8400 100# slides were used.

Image

Looking good.

Image

Loaded up. Well, not really, since the cooler is empty.

Image

Tucked in nicely. I had a slight concern about interference with the closed hatch, but it worked well.

Image

The chief accountant declared some time ago, although she swears otherwise, we would have a microwave. You know, for roughing it.

I'm also experimenting with floor covering.

It's coming along really nicely! The cooler looks like it fits perfect, and slides out easy for access to many beers..err cokes!

I'm also experimenting with floor covering.

Interestingly enough i picked up that same tile the other day just to look at it on my unbuilt floor! lol

GMTA

The cooler will also double as a work surface.

I decided I like the tile, sowent back for more. I'm gonna do the counter as well. Cast iron would end updoing a number on the wood over time.

Gonna be into dutch ovens before I know it. I feel the pull ofthe iron already.

I SURE hope so! I am focusing on my truck right now, I figure if ya can't tow it, there's not much point haha. I replaced the engine Wednesday and I just need a couple more things to get it cruising so I can put all my energy back into the tear. I am really close to getting it campable! Thanks for letting me know tho, I don't go to the local gatherings section much, because I don't want to know all the cool stuff I am missing.

After the floor tile experiment, I decided to do the counter as well.

The microwave needs a shelf. Good thing the Princess Helper is on the job.

Image

She measures everything, just to be sure.

Image

The Princess practices "measure twice, cut once".

Image

Mission accomplished. The battery box will tuck in behind the microwave.

I'm very much enjoying your build. Nice camper. I'm sure your Working Stiff's Scout Popcorn Sales has taken a few hours away from your build this past October, if you Pack participates in it!
