Be careful that tile is floor tile and will not take heat. I use the same stuff. I found out the hot pot hard way. Ken

She is indeed. She wants to "work on the trailer" constantly. She loves being in the garage doing stuff, even if it's using chalk on the floor.

Thanks.

He hasn't been as active with it this year as in the past. We're getting ready to do Troop visits/campouts this month. He'll become a Boy Scout in February.

Good to know. Thanks for the heads up.

I wanted to do something to protect the wood, since I know I'll be using cast iron, and don't want to scratch the heck out the basic structure. I can live with changing the tile once in a while. Heck, it'll be a kitchen remodel for less than $25K.

After loafing in teardrop time for a good while, the workshop got fired up today.

The last thing I want to do in the galley, for now any way, is to get the stove mounted. I got serious with creating the sliding box today. The cuby space below can hold either pots and utensils, or canned goods, or both. We'll see how it works.

Build time, play time, it's all the same. Right daddy?

Good grief, there's more of it!

One last look. The doors are soon to go on. The roof has two coats of CPES. Final roof skin decision comes today, followed shortly by ordering.

Hello, Still enjoying your thread!
Can you tell me exactly what CPES is and where to get it? I know it's a penetrating epoxy but is that all you used to seal it and is that enough in your opinion? Did you have to special order it?
Your grain is beautiful!!
Thanks!

CPES is an epoxy from the Rot Doctor.

http://www.rotdoctor.com/products/product.html#sealers

It only seals against water. It isn't UV resistant, so another product is needed. I'm also using spar varnish for UV and to give a glossy finish.

I ordered directly from rot doctor, they shipped pretty quickly.

We had her out twice in the Fall with an incomplete galley. I'm looking forward to more this year.

Holy cow! The renewal for Rose's license plate has just arrived.

It's been a year already. Well, next month is a year from frame purchase.

I can't believe that I bought my trailer last May. The year goes by fast doesn't it? :?

With Beaver's Bend coming up, I decided maybe we've been in Teardrop Time long enough. Among things left to do are a few coats of spar varnish for Rose's sides. A glossy UV resistant sheen is desired.

The polyurethane had been in teardrop time a little bit too long.

The PrincessPainter?? The Princess is ensuring a good coat of spar varnish is laid down on the bottom of the stove drawer.
