Mrs starleen has me on a budget this time so I can't go as fast as I want. However, going slower means that I can take more time to allow for glues to set and make tighter joints. This trailer will definitely be a light weight, somewhere around 1000 lbs. I'm just about finished with one of the structural side wall. Will post a picture later when the glue sets ;)

They turned out very well and very strong (albeit some sanding to level some rough cuts). BTW - Just joined the "whole lotta Clamps " club :D

Will post a few pictures of the finished ones when they are sanded tomorrow

Finished with some of the framing - I'm not finished with all the framing yet (have decided if I'm going to add a second door) but you can see the scale so far. Where I'm Standing in the first picture is about 5 ft (if my calculations are correct) with the hatch closed. The tallest finished headroom will be 6'2" with the hatch fully extended

enough for this week - next week: make one just like it - except opposite

BTW - I'm 6'0" tall

Looking good, but you're moving way too slow!

Looks Great Scott. I'm really looking forward to seeing how you get her down to 1000 lbs As you know I missed by about 600. You diffidently have a lot less framing in the that wall but I really over did that. I actually put in a doubled 5/4 by six to support the hinge spar.

Where ever we raise the hatch is home.
Darn blank states keep getting further away and we keep traveling slower ain't never gona get this map full.

Things have slowed to a crawl - at least for right now - too many trips to take when the weather is warm. However, I did manage to get the one side complted with the hatch potion. As soon as I get back I'll try to post some picts :(

Made another match to this one today - Added some extra braces to the each wall.- also completed the lower back sides. It may be time for a mock up? will post some picts when the lower mock up assembled. Mike - with the hatch fully extened, it can reach an interior height of 6'2". 5/8th of the camper could be a standie at 5 feet and greater. The curve in the hatch really helps and contours the shape

LOL Thats bizarre... just been looking at those myself... copied out the side profile, checked on here for new posts and you've posted up piccies of the exact same thing.

Nice design isn't it... I like the entrance to it and the pop up revealing the back window... very nice.

Cheers, Dewi

Everyone enjoys a mock up! – Just had to put some of the pieces together to get a sense of what it will look like – and if it will fit out the garage door! I still have some more bracing to do on the walls and framing for the windows. Right now those are temporary braces used to hold everything in square and will be removed later

Now to take it apart to coat with resins and apply other goodies!
