Thanks Miriam.

We'll plan one to go west.

I am looking at Mossy Oak paneling that's at a local store. I'm kicking that around at this time. I want the wife to look at it. That would be mounted on the interior outer walls. Thru the center I 'm thinking a light finish with dark finished trim.

The cabinets and shelves will be dark finish as well.

Well it's starting to take shape now. This is allot of work for one person, so if you get a chance to recruite anyone do so.

I manage to put up some of the inside walls (front, top and rear). Hang the door and screen door. Finish framing one inside wall and start on the second one.

Liquid nail and wood glue helps also.

Going to grind down those screws.

The door has a bow in it. I'm going to rebuild it with a frame.

Next weekend insulation and wiring. Maybe the outside skin.

Looking good, Wayne! It can be a lot of work if you do it by yourself.

Isn't amazing how you can be told to "get a hobby" and then when you do "you're spending too much time on that teardrop". Oh well, I guess all this goes into the concept of teardrop time.

That's how this got started. The wife told me to find something to do. Hunting season wasn't in. So, this is what I found. :? I've been married for 24 years now and I still find myself shaking my head.

I have enjoyed myself wiht the marriage to the wife. I think she about to ring my neck over this trailer thou. Buying the tools to do the jobso far has been about half the cost. She been cool about it and she knows I don't like sleeping in a tent and I like to build things, so it'l be ok. :)

Maybe she'll go camping with me.

Hey Wayne,
To help, you can always explain the cost of the tools will pay for themselves over time with the next couple of builds!!! To get her on board, have her get involved with the Decoration of the build. My little woman wasn't too involved til it came to "Dressing up" the camper, then it was "ON"!! Nice build tho  :applause:

ps--Now she love it and loves camping in it instead of the old tent. She loves to cook and I'm a happy man, plus you meet the nicest people at the "Gatherings"!!!

Well, people at work have been asking about my trailer and want to know how far I've gotten in the past week. I haven’t done much so I'll post some pictures of what I have done. I think I started something at work. I've been asked allot of questions on how to build a teardrop or small trailer.
So here we go.

Image

Still working on that new door.

Image

Cut out the storage door. Still working on that replacment door.

Image

Cut out for the window.

Image

Put together the cabinet for the galley area.

Image

Insulation worked out well.

Image

Sleeping area.

Painted the walls, it’s a cream color. Almost ready to install the Mossy Oak paneling, and trim.

Still allot of work left to finish.

Watching your build, but I didn't see where you came up with the door frame. I'm building a standy also and wondered where you came up with that assembly....looks great! Doug
