Did some work on the trailer Saturday and did a little work tonight as well before we get snow. Thats what they say but I wouldnt't put money on it. On Saturday I framed out the door openings and cut them out with a jigsaw. I still need to take the flush router bit and trim em up all nice pretty. I used 1x4 select pine on 3 pieces and on the hinge side decided to use 1x4 poplar just for extra screw meat. Here some pics.....

We also had a friend of the wife's come over to the house on Sat when I was working on the Gnome and I think he got the sickness to build a TD. Haha... I showed him the sight qand he took me to go look at a trailer to see if it would work to build a TTT on 8) . Needless to day that took about 3 hours and I didn't get anything else done on Saturday and had to go to the cemetary on Sunday.

I ran out of alum angle and the orange box was out so I called my dad and he donated 2 8' stcks to the build. Picked it up from him at the cemetary. So I decided tonight I would put it to good use and finish trimming out the belly box b/c they are coming to town this weekend and I will be smoking them a brisket before I leave for Phoneix for 3 weeks. I love Phoenix this time of year. I love when my parents get to come down as they don't get to too often. Here is a pic of the trimmed out bellybox andthe inside of the bellybox. I rabbited the wrong side of the ply so I decided to paint it red and black for my Red Raiders.

I think the solid lid on the underfloor bin would be awkward for one person to use, a hinge in the middle would let someone lift one side of the mattress and retrieve smaller items from the bin without assistance.

Funny you say that Kharn! The wife and I said the samething so we are going to pick up a piano hinge, lol.... The lid is also heavy and that would help both of us out :o

Yeah Deryk when I bought the Jeep the wife was complaining about gas mileage and the first thing I told her was that I wasn't buying it for the MPG
