Doug

I robbed the Assembly off a wrecked RV. I couldn't use the door because it had a large dent and a hole that was drilled into it to hold the door shut.

I made that door that is seen in the picture from a sheet of 3/4 and 5/8. At first it was straight and when I mounted it to the frame. After it set out all night the first night, it bowed now it's hard to latch. So I'm going to build a framed door and replace the current door.

Thanks Doug. If you have any other questions please ask.

Thanks Victor.

I ordered it through a local lumber yard. It sells for $27.00 a sheet. I bought the Mossy Oak Breakup pattern.

Very cool! Can't wait to see pics! We did our first RV reno in Mossy Oak them but didn't know about the paneling then. Would have been a nice addition.

I bought it from a local lumber yard. You might check one in your area.

Nice! Good pattern choice too. Alot less busy than some Mossy Oak so better suited for a small space.

I checked this stuff out before I bought it. I've been stuck with the glue and saw dust before.

This paneling is solid wood about 1/4 inch thick. Good stuff.

Wayne, that Mossy Oak paneling will really set off your interior and make it different from everyone else's. It'll look great. You're going to have a nice trailer. Thanks for sharing your pictures and your build. :applause:

I don't mean to tease, but I installed the
Mossy Oak paneling this weekend. I would take some pictures but the batteries were down and they need to recharge. I'll post some pictures later. But the paneling dose look good installed.

Some one asked how I built my door, this is how.

Image

Irip some one bys to the desired thickness of the door. (Minus the outer two layers).

Image

I fastened the two outer layers together. I'm using 1/4" BC plywood. Layout the shape of the door and cut out. I used a skill saw, Jig saw, and router on this door.

Image

I cut the one bys to fit. I fasten the one bys to one side with glue and brads. I used plywood in the corners and cut the radiuses.

Image

Insulate the door, and attach the other side and that's it.

Doors are easy.

I like it. I know it's not fine woodworking, but I still like it.

I also started putting the outside skin on.

Bending the plywood over the 24" radius.

View from the other side. I'm also using liquid nail to help.

Looks good, Wayne. Most of us are amateurs; but, I've seen some our work that is better than what many professionals do! You're going to have fun, camping in that.
