Very nice!

I want a workshop in my backyard. 10' x 15' is the maximum for the HOA (Home Owner's Association), 10' x 12' is maximum without a permit allowed by the city. I'm trying to determine if the extra 30 sq ft is worth the permitting hassle.
God Bless

Thanks,

Sometimes biting the bullet (if you have the teeth) is the right thing to do.

I think all our big spending is over now, and we need to start filling the hole that unemployment dug into our savings pot.

I think you know the answer already.... every extra square foot of space under cover is worth having.

If you can stomach the hassles along the way, then just get on and do it.

We all love Gary, don't we?

Tonight on the way home from London, my wife Nicola texted me to ask if she could open a parcel that had been addressed to Mr & Mrs "Grizz" Of course I said, who is it from ? She texted back Gary in Oklahoma, and then refused to tell me what was in it, except that she loved the contents.

When I got home she gave me a cuppa tea, let me greet the cats etc, then presented me with the box in the photo below.

I will not explain it all, but will say that there was a challenge in the total package..... now the trick is for you guys to figure it out and let us know if you can see what the challenge is that Gary put to me. It is not too cryptic, just look at the contents and think a bit latteraly.

Thanks Gary. .... there goes my holiday break 8)

All three the cats went mad for the catnip, a super charged variety grown for Garys cats.

I think.....Gary wants you and the Misses to go to Oklahoma, camp, cook and maybe "party" [get drunk] a little bit and smoke cigars. 8)
I've been wrong before though.

Re: Grizz-Pod Teardrop Trailer - We are doing no2 build soon

Was moving stuff about in the garage over the weekend including the teardrop, then ended up putting up most of my number plate collection in the rafters.

Apology first.

Pics taken with my mobile phone.

Hope you get the idea.

I have a few more to put up.

Hope to get some more American plates, and also more weird metal signs.

Number plates do make me smile, especially as I know the history of many of them.

Look forward to seeing other collections.

I have always wanted a traffic light in my garage (also want a Parking meter)

Previous attempts have seen me being outbid on even silly high numbers.

Saturday evening I his a final 6 seconds bid of double the opening bid and snagged these two for the opening bid as no one had bid.

I have to say that the listing was not well done....

Plans include getting them down to Kent from Birmingham.... anyone coming down soon?

There you go..... pics taken by my mate who collected them for me tonight.

When they get here the plan is to build a sequencer and fit one inside and one outside the garage.

I like it! I want one of the old American traffic signals, circa 1950s. They weigh a ton and use a lot of electricity, but they are cool. Much more so than the new LED plastic ones we have now.
I dream of a day when a chicken can cross the road without having his motives questioned.

Well, up at 04.30 and left home by 05.30 ..... got to Birmingham by 08.23 to fetch these babies.

330 mile round trip, so about 500km in modern language.

Am I chuffed ??

You betcha.

Next up will be sorting the wiring and getting one or both to to work and then fitting them somewhere.

Well, I was 30 miles down the road on the M25 on my way to a job interview this morning when the agency called to cancell..... grrrrr!!

came home but thought I would use the time productively so popped in at a car dealership to see if I could scrounge some old plates......

WOOOHOOOO !!!!

I got two plates that I did not have and have wanted before.

The first one is a Jersey Hire Car plate.
They have a huge red block to the one side and an H inside it, presumably to warn the locals and to make one stand out.
We have been to Jersey a few times and i always mentioned to Nicola that I would love one, but they are clearly unavailable...... whoops.
The other one was a pair of Guernsey island plates, because there are so few cars there, they just have numbers, whereas Jersey has a J prefix.

The other UK plates will be for trade internationally.

Image

This week I also managed to trade a really nice 1974 Ohio plate for one of my less common South African plates.

The top one in the Pic.

Finally, I picked up this cool piece of automobilia at the bootfair this weekend, it is already up on my garage wall......

Hope you can see the detail.

Cheers for now.
