Auntie M

Talent (or lack there of). The truth is I made a jump for joy, when I landed my foot rolled under me and I laid there waiting for medical attention. And in case any one is wondering Chip's pickle juice was not a factor at all.

:lol: OK, perhaps the pickle juice would have been helpful. I know a broken leg is not funny and I hope you recover completely. Is that why the last surgery?

Yep, exactly right. If you wanted to make it even stronger, increase the height of the angle (?) that you're using as a spacer in the middle.

Yes you are right. To repair the bones I broke they put in two metal braces. Last February the metal was removed, however the 15 screws left holes in the bone. This created weak points, hence now wearing a brace.

Andrew
I take that as a hint to add a larger spacer, I will work on it.

thanks

A question for our fiberglass guru's. Can I make my own wood flour? Have plenty of saw dust from the table saw, just it is not fine enough.

thanks del

Del...the dust out of a cup on the orbital, or belt sander bag works well...I save mine from the epoxy sanding in the orbital...Doug

Doug
You are right the sander makes a fine enough dust, just I did not get that option. A coffee grinder seems to do the trick, if you have plenty of patience (did not use one from the kitchen, it is forever a sawdust grinder now).

Ordered;
Jacks clicky
Hope these jacks fit on my new cross member. Someday I will learn to make url's shorter.
Image
The cross member mounts the rear spring mounts and someday the jacks that were shipped today from who knows where (jc whitney). Does any one know how wide and long the mounting holes are?
Worked on the tongue brace, put a larger piece of angle in there. Jacked the trailer up in the middle and put concrete on both ends, creating a negative tongue weight situation. Had to put more weight on it this time to get the new piece in. (pics in gallery)

Got it fixed. To do the short URL you:

and give it a name then

easy huh. 8) no spaces.

Progress;
It seemed like I worked very hard today, but then I realized only four boards are new. Also worked on fiberglassing key points on the floor.
Image Though not much work happened it was a beautiful day in the mid eighties, glad spring has finely sprung.

With your building of the jelly belly TD my mind was going everywhere today with concept ideas. Two that tickled my funny bone and I sketched my ideas are The Birdhouse and The Nut House. :lol: The Birdhouse idea came first as I was making a scaled down version of my TD that I am buidling and I thought WOW I could make a birdhouse size of my TD. Cheep Wrent for some birdy :lol:

Image

Then The Nut House (especially for me as I find that I am totally obsessed with the TD and the progress of building one. 8) But, I think there are lots out there that can relate. :)

Same reason it blows up the driveway when I am trying to blow leaves down the driveway. Or doesn't blow when its HOT, or blows only when you start to fold a big tarp up or....or...or :wacky

Del, the Jelly Belly is look'n good! :thumbsup: Seems your are inspiring folks too.

Darla, I like the last sketch of the Nuthouse :) :)
