The build journals are my favorite part of the site, having them in one place is a great idea.

Can you add mine from the newbies section?

Roly, all you have to do is start a build thread in this section and post pictures as you go along. You can do it.

Maybe we should stop calling you MadJack and start calling Master Jack.

I for one will not be entering mine I am no master carpenter. I have some good ideas which will be found for those who wish to go to non tradional trailers where they will find me putttering along.

If it were not for all of you on the this forum I would not have a trailer. After watching Steve B. contruct his frame I now know what I would do differently and now have most of the tools to do it right But for now will stick with what I have.

This forum helped me build it in 4 yrs to the point where Mike almost kicked me off, But I got er done. Now I have knowlege to do it in a year and maybe one day I will. As gas prices go up again. This will be the place to go if you want to truly know how to do it.

Thanks Master Jack it will help many Amitures become more comfedent in their build and will learn to do it right.

:applause: :applause: :applause:

Thank, Madjack, when I start planning I'm sure that'll make it much easier to find answers to the questions I'm sure to have.

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack
You taught me all I know and I'll never look back
It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack

You took a colored ribbon from out of the sky
And taught me how to use it as the years went by
To tie up all your problems and make them look neat
And then to sell them to the people in the street

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack
You taught me all I know and I'll never look back
It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack

I saw right through the way you started teachin' me now
So some day soon you could get to use me somehow
I thank you very much and though you've been very kind
But I'd better move along before you change my mind

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack
You know how I feel as if I'll never come back
It's a very strange world and I thank you, Master Jack

You taught me all the things the way you'd like them to be
But I'd like to see if other people agree
It's all very int'resting the way you disguise
But I'd like to see the world through my own eyes

It's a strange, strange world we live in, Master Jack
No hard feelin's if I never come back
You're a very strange man and I thank you, Master Jack

You're a very strange man and I thank you, Master Jack
You're a very strange man and I thank you, Master Jack

I'm not sure if I'm "here" or not.

can we organize a forum "tree" oh great and wise and powerful Master Jack.
builds: teardrops, benroys, vardo, ..., different, ... WAY different...
subjects: water, electrical: AC, DC; lighting, trailer-wheel frame, trailer body frame: wood, metal, foam, epoxy, ...,
tow vehicles: car, truck, motorcycle, 5th wheeler.

or maybe just have a forum of each type who's soul purpose is to list the trailer and the link to the build, no actual discussion.
Just to catalog the builds, reference/indexing. For the build aspects, say a link to like to a message in my build where I switched from upper frame to AC electrical...

(I should have the link below for my build forum.)

PC HIstorian, in a way that sounds like a great idea, but as most threads seem to end up wandering and discussing multiple subjects, it may, in the end be more confusing to people who might start to feel like they have to start a new thread in a new section every time the subject of a thread wanders onto a different topic. Sometimes that might be good, but sometimes the change of subject is a natural progression like when someone is discussing framing their roof (frame) and then the subject turns to how they will run their wiring (electrical). The way it is now, with the build journal just being here, and individual subjects each having their own section, it's often times easier if you just remember whose trailer it is and then going to the build journal and pulling it up.

Well I was thinking, I have one big build journal but links to where I start each phase, if I have that phase. I think there is an address to individual posts. Sort of like I index my own build.
Can I search within a thread?
