Hello Graeme and Greetings from Finland.

I just found your teardrop build and I sure want to say youve built a very nice looking tear. The Profile and Lighting and everything about it is so sweet. :applause: :applause: :applause:

Also by the way my youngest sons godparents live in Glasgow. Another coincidence is that his godfathers name is Graeme also  :D

Again warmest greetings from Finland.

Classic Finn

Hi Graeme, I just wanted to say that you have a really nice tear there. I particularly like your attention to detail and the quality of the work. The half wood/aluminium finish really works well too. Congratulations!
Kind Regards, BigAl.

Without this site the build my might not even have started.

grizz

Graeme, I was up in Scotland for 2 weeks the end of August, for the Edinburgh Arts Festival, and some more touring right up to the top of Inverness etc. Mostly rainy, but every day was perfect.

God's country that Mate, God's country.

Thats an amazing build you did, and I have to invite you to please come show all your toys and projects in www.retrorides.proboards86.com , the guys there will go mad for it.

I don't have enough time this morning to read Graeme's entire thread, but I can quote these two.

I love your teardrop, Graeme! Your construction method is almost exactly what I have planned... you've done beautifully.

I'll be back later today to read more!

(A friend and I are going to go visit a chap here in California who owns a rare Duc that Hailwood raced; a 125 cc 3-cam!)

I've just said in another Scottish build thread that I have lately learned that some of the world's finest things were conceived in Scotland.

Kind words,thank you.

I can't get to my build at the moment as it is under 3 feet of snow and i have no workshop(yet...That's an other build thread.)

Here is hoping my pod will be fit for purpose when the weather brakes.

Here's hoping! :vroom:

It's no surprise why I like your tear's profile: It's a morphed Thomas-built! And there's some Lil' Bear in there too.

Only then will i be able to band out the mudgaurds.
These will be easy to fit than the fiberglass ones.
Cheers.

17"alloys it is then.

I might get back to the fiberglass wngs at some point. Not having a workshop and the cold/wet weather makes fiberglassing difficult.

As with most people hear, maybe on my second build :D

Hi Graeme, I'm looking at your build photos and wondering if you have three hinges on your galley with some ribbon of weatherproof material over them? Is this correct, if so what is the ribbon of material?
Kind Regards, BigAl.
