Thanks for the link update. Missed it somehow in the above posts. Definitely worth looking at!

Hi Graeme,
Thats a great idea with the lights, they look brilliant :applause: :applause: I love a bit of inovation

Did you use regular hardboard under your aluminium skin ? or is it Ply

Do you fancy a trip across the boarder next year ? We're hoping to get some trailers together for the May bank holliday ?

It would be great to see your build up close 8) 8)

Hi Dave.

Both inner and outer skins are 3mm hardboard(B andQ don't have a great selection, but you know that)
The inside was done with the hardboard ,only because i could not get any ply quick enough. But i found some vinyl flooring on special that i stuck on to give a finished look.

Next season (if i get this tear finished)i am hoping to get to RAF Woodvale in Southport and the Van fest later on.

Hopefully more trips south, but i keep getting drawen to the island off the west coast of Scotland.

The build has slowed right down because i have missed my dead line for this year and i have the bedroom to decorate, and many many other jobs to do.

Roll on next year :D

Hi Graeme,
What a shame you missed your deadline :( . At least you're close to being finnished now
The flooring on the ceiling looks very authentic. nice touch

With a bit of luck we should get to see your trailer next year . We have thought about going to Woodvale, and heard it's a good weekend.

We did Vanfest for the first time this year. We had a great time, and saw a fair few teardrop trailers too. I'm hoping to have a splitty to tow our trailer one day :worship:

We built our first tear with the intention of touring Scotland, but it hasn't happened yet

Cheers Dave

Hi Dave.
Woodvale is worth going to,the last time i was there i took my 67 splitscreen bus.
To get a bus at the moment you would not get change from 20k.
And that does not include feeding it.
When i first got my bus i thought there was a hole in the fuel tank

Now i stick with my good old moggies. :)

Having limited horsepower,i have to ditch weight and some great ideas from this forum.
I'm just waiiting on Thomas to fit his wings(fenders) before i can do mine. ;)
Hopefully the weather will let me get more done this weekend.
Again thanks everyone

Well, I have an idea for some "wings" that I also got from this forum ala Warpony who got it from McTeardrop! SO hey we keep it in the family eh! It is a dual axle fender cut in half and angled just right... Food for thought...
