Should you be interested. I've got a web page set up on how I'm restoring and upgrading a 1946 KIT teardrop. Right now I've got 6 1/2 pages on it and you can find it HERE:

P.S. I might add that before I took an extended leave of absence there were three of us restoring "KITs". Well, I'm still at it. :cry:

thanks for sharing that Gage. Plenty to learn from your documentation. Looks great!

The frame looks amazingly light. Any idea what it weighs? Obviously it's plenty strong.

Thanks for the update Gage....slick idea using the teflon shims. I've used aluminum tongues with varied amounts of success. Doug
