Well, much as we wanted to get started sooner, I have too many irons in the fire so the trailer got pushed back. Hope to work on it this winter and have it on the road next spring, but that all depends on the financial situation.
Mopar I know how that is, I got started on my cargo and had to put it on hold for other things , hope to get back on it soon but I can still camp in it 1st thing was getting bed in it I'll be following your build so keep up the good work
It has been 3 years since our first camping trip with the Tearjerkers and almost 11 months since I started our build. Good things come to those who wait, and planning every little detail out makes the project much easier.
Ordered some of the main hardware from Li'l Bear Tag-Alongs this week. Going to pick up the big pieces of lumber this weekend so getting farther along. Photos of the build will be added to my gallery as we go.
10-13-2015 - Okay, haven't updated in a while but have been posting some photos to the gallery. Have the floor done, outer and inner wall sections cut out. Now on to the assembly of the walls along with insulating.
01-22-2016: Making some more progress. Need to post more photos but for now, I have almost completed one full wall. Today I managed to get the door and window opening cut out of the outer panel after first ruining the original panel and having to make a second one. Hope that tomorrow I will get the insulation cut and placed, then get the outer panel glued and clamped to the rest of the assembly. Then I get to finish the other wall and go from there.
Looks like it has been quite a journey. Way to hang in there! The camping will make the wait worthwhile! Hope to see you at some Gathering here in the PNW in the future. Good Roads Brian & Sandi
So sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I just added photos to my gallery tonight. The Wild Hare is coming along, need to finish the galley and put many more coats of polyurethane on the exterior. Unfortunately I need to repair my tow vehicle before we get to use it. 1997 Dodge Neon needs a new motor, working with my buddy to get this taken care of then I can get the trailer down to the DMV and get it titled/registered.
