Maybe easier to trim off a little more, then fit a small solid block shaped to fit. This would give a little more meat to the added piece and more space for some kind of joint (biscuit, dove tail, spline, pocket screw.

Less molding, sanding and mess that way. Just my thought.

The picture makes it look bigger than it really is. It will be a pretty easy job to fill the spot, plus the area will also be covered with fiberglass and epoxy.

Thank you, it is nice to finally see the shape of the trolley top in real life. Will be Nice to get the interior roof skin on to really get a feel for it.

Probably will not get it finished by then. Just not enough time off between now and then.

I have been admiring your little drawing at the bottom of the page for so long it is nice to see a bigger true likeness.

Very nice job helps me as I am getting closer to building the trolley top for my trailer too.

I am looking forward to seeing your trolley top take shape also. Will you have it ready by the next IRG? I am hoping mine is ready by then.

Dan,
At the rate I am going unless I run into money problems It should be almost complete. I forgot to get it licensed before I put the walls up so now I will have to wait until the walls and roof are on. the folks at the DMV should get a kick out of this one.

Got any up date pictures :pictures: I was wondering what you are planning to put in the window slots, in the trolley??

I am starting to design my trolley part my windows are far far away but I am working on it. It is always fun to see what others have done and you are doing a great job. ;)

I have the inside roof plywood now installed, but do not have a picture yet. Will try and get one on my next days off. I am at the point where I need to run my wiring that will be in the roof. I will then go on to insulating and covering the outside roof with 2 layers of 1/8 inch plywood.

For the trolley top windows I bought some small fixed ports. They are all plastic and are pretty nice. There are no inside trim rings, so I am not exactly sure what I will do there yet, but I have a few ideas and will figure that out when I need to. They are not to costly, but having to buy 8 was not cheap. Beckson makes 4, 6 and 8 inch ports, I bought the 4 inch ones. Be warned they are larger than 4 inches, I had to make the hole size 4 5/8".

The Beckson website shows the cut out opening size and the overall outside diameter.

Thank you Sharron. You will probably be one of the first to see it. I hopefully will have it ready for the next IRG.
