yup, we like the planning part so much we keep doing it. So there will be a tongue box and tables on the planning board for this winter. That also explains why so many members don't stop with just one!

Looking forward to seeing the build photos

Skirting board.

That sounds like a very good discription.. :)

Funny how things are named different in other parts of the world.

Baseboard is good too  As you said Mike, It's funny how we speak the same language , but we have so much different terminology.  It's nice to learn new terms for stuff though, I feel I'm getting educated .

Got all of the 300' of "baseboard" stained and is ready to install so now I get to start on my project. Got part of the trailer laid out and some of the new holes drilled.

I have added some of the beginning build pics. I have chosen the TY-DEAN design for my unit. I will be making a few small modification to the galley area and the cabin cabinets. I am getting a little help with the heavy lifting from my neighbor or sons when they come around. So far I am having a good time figuring out some of the details. I't seems as well as the plans are drawn little adjustments must be made.

Got lucky today. Was looking for some windows and went to my local RV dealer to see if he had any old windows. He had a couple old used ones but wanted $100 a piece. Then I remembered a friend had torn down an old trailer to build a hauler for his tractor. I gave him a call and sure enough he ad some small slider windows. He sold them to me for $5 each. I felt guilty and gave him a few more $. He also have me a couple more items I will be able to use. I have been having trouble finding Luan and wonder what might be a substite. Also went to West Marine and got the scoop on the West 105 system for applying epoxy. I think that is the way I will be going when the time comes. Work continues tomorrow.

My friend also has an AC/DC converter/charger but it quite a large unit (32 amps) and he wants $200 for it. My research indicates I can do better via e-bay. Does anyone have any recommendations concerning the size needed for a small TD?

Quick report. No Pictures today. I was all set to take a picture of goo on the bottom of the floor but my neighbor came over to help me turn it over and in the rush I forgot the camera until it was over and in place. So you will just have to take my word for the fact that I have joined the black goo club. I do have a picture of the can. 8)

I have fastened the floor to the trailer frame using 24 wood to metal screws. I filled the countersunk holes and the next step is to sand and paint the floor.

I got two windows from a friend for a very good price and with the help of Ageless I have ordered an AC-DC coverter/charger on e-bay. Should be here next week. Still to buy is a Fantastic Fan for the roof, wood and insulation and finally epoxy paint. Oh yes and anything else I might have forgotten.

I also have been looking at the Ty Dean too. I was thinking of making it as wide as the outside of the wheels and a foot or two longer. May be even a standi but not sure yet. Good luck I'm watching your progress.

If you are working on a TY-DEAN you can see I already made a mistake. The back slope was cut off at 12" vs 6". Now I look at the plans before I make any cuts. :)

You can e-mail Brad at TY-DEAN and he will help you with any issues you may have.

I see that, so what are you planning now? New sides or are you planning on making it part of your design? I have to say the plans are good but I really am not liking the door on the plans. Can do better I think. That's my opinion. Like the windows you snatched up.
