Two words...Almost Finished! Updated 6/8/11

Postby Justin & Katy » Tue Jan 12, 2010 10:54 am

Well, it has begun. We have ordered the brake axle and a few other parts so we are officailly on our way. We will "break ground" on the 22nd. We should be able to get the frame welded together and complete that weekend. It's shaping up to be a pretty long trailer....a little over 15ft! We'll post pics when we have some.

I hope you enjoy building your tear as much as I am mine. It takes time, money, but it will be worth it.
I am a workaholic that loves a good challenge. It will also give my dad and me a good project to work on together. I plan on putting several miles on this teardrop, so I want to build it right.

Build Size

Postby Wild Bill » Fri Jan 15, 2010 9:26 pm

My ttt measures 14'-6" long and 6' wide, Will be able to stand up and get dressed, porta potty, elevated full size bed with lots of storage under it. Small table and 2 Seats that will convert into a small child size bed.
Rear galley like a tear. I have the frame and floor done. Purchased lumber and flooring today. I want to be able to keep my gear and bedding in the trailer and always ready to go with short notice. Just add food, water, wife and dog. I do not have a build journal yet, just my album, Good luck with your project. Bill

I wish i had a shop like that too! The space you see in the pics is where Mike works so we were able to use it to put the frame together. The axle is supposed to come in tomorrow but then again, it was supposed to be in two weeks ago! Mike and are pleased with the way it came out. As soon as we get the axle on, we'll be in the garage instead of the shop.
