Yuengling in cans. That reveals your location just about as good as a GPS

Ah - but Yuengling is found outside of PA - not far - but you can ask for a Lager in some bars as far as Jersey and ...

Here's a few more pics before winter hit and we had to pull "The White Pearl" into the shop.
The body is all glassed and ready for sanding.

Wow, crazy angles to be working with :? I can barely cut a 2x4 to length and here you are cutting everything at an angle.

Several very unique touches - in addition to the walnut counter, angled sides, and wheel fairings I really like the rain gutter on the hatch.

Looking forward to more pictures.

Nice work!! I have looked at your website and have you thought about using the gas door as a vent cover or a cover to plug in outside power. I might even look into putting the roof rack off the old pick and pull on it. Dont know what that would look like as a finished product but just a thought.

The Door

Postby paperdoor » Fri Feb 05, 2010 3:49 pm

More progress, after splitting some wood , ready for the snow to come, oh it's here again.
The Door
Here's a pic of the Volvo at the junk yard Ive been pickin from.
Image
I pulled the door handle and latch today.
Image
I fabricated a stainless steel whatever you would call it , to adapt the latch to the plywood door.
Image
Image
Marked some holes to add the interior door latch.
Image
I used some primed 4" hinges for the door, tried to get the volvo hinges, but that would have involved alot more work- These tears are suppose to be simple huh :)
Image
Image
Heres the exterior door handle, works too - just need to figure out the key lock now -

That is going to be awesome! :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause: :applause:

How are you going to keep the top portion of the door from flexing so you get a good seal on your weatherstripping?
God Bless
