Sacramento Vintage Ford has them with the locks...and as I recall, so does RW Johnson. Nice handle, I've used 4 pairs of them. The repops are made by Vintique. Bob Drake has really premium quality but you pay for it....I'd look around. Doug

Well Tomorrow its off to see the Caravan Inspector and give them the drawings and measurements and weight for the tear frame. Also need to find the proper sized EU Approved Towbar for that frame as well.

Got to remember that here with all these laws and regulations nothing is easy as go purchase steel and start welding. All must be on paper with specs. And before continuing it must be approved. :?

Thank god this time around Ive got some experience as well as few acquaintances in these sectors. Stay tuned. ;)

Gezz - 8 pages so far and no sawdust yet - should this be in the "members's design " section??

Hey, Finn's got some good design going here. I like where this thread is going. No need to fuss about where it lives.

I'm sure once he gets going, he might reveal some of his build secrets. :)

Finn could always revise the title when he starts building...

e.g. Build starts on page __

But personally, I like 2 separate threads, one for the design and one for the build. Reason being, I may not want to follow the design, but I definitely want to follow the build, or visa versa.

Well even though there are no photos of it. The Lil Swan frame is being worked on. I dont have welding capablities so I have a good friend who is doing some extras to it.

1st we need to find out if its legal to add battery trays onto the tear, meaning to hang under the frame. If so we,ll have them added.

Im also having the floor made in a seperate place. If you remember Im not using ply but a sandwich flooring.

I know where to get them, cost about 20 euro for the set. In a way they look good but are mighty narrow. ;)

Its a unique style of trailer aint it. For a motorcycle

Just an update of info. I came in the house from a 30 minute drive from our friend who makes trailer frames and a few other items as a business. He also makes axles. 8) 8)

A frame will be delivered to us end of this month as there is an International Boat Show this coming week. So he,s fairly busy.

The frame with EU Approved Towbar will be galvanized plus powder coated. Various colors available,
however this time around we chose Semi Gloss Black.

Torsion Axle with 0 starting angle with 4 x 100 hubs. Finnish Made/German - Knott Components.
Tomasson Wheels for Caravans
Finnish Made Nokia "Hakkapeliitta" 205/70/14 tires
Battery Holder welded to frame.

This frame will also be pre- inspected and registered.

I,ll have photos of the components & frame for you asap. :D

Were getting to the point now that we need to finalize the rims due to the frame being almost complete.
So we are asking your opinions on this which may help us decide since we are sooo undecided. These are all caravan wheels. ;)

Choose your favorite with us. - Please.
