Winter Jam in Daytona last weekend. Some of the guys on our club site that went to the show took this picture. Someone towed this guy to the show.

I wonder if you can still get that ribbed metal siding?

I talked to Jerad the Owner/Builder and he found a camper that was in the junkyard and he took the siding from it. The green is just painted. He robbed a lot from the old camper.

I think I'll use a pre-built trailer. I want to use this b/c it comes with a certificate for the DOT correct?

If I build one from scratch I'll have to have it certified. I think. If I alter it will this void the DOT certificate? I can buy the Northern trailer that is 4x8 and then reinforce it, cut it into what I need. Or I could just get the axle I need and all the hardware for about the same price. The advantage would be the certificate.

I'm going 60" wide and I want the wheels under the trailer. Like the camper above or like my og design. Wheels 55-58" hub to hub and 48" mounting bracket. Not sure how far the wheels will stick out past the hub. Will have to measure the backspacing of the wheels and all to figure that. My Northern store only has the pre-built trailers out in the yard. They don't have the folding or other "Assembly Required" ones out. If they did then I could just measure all that I need to measure. Duh :?

Man back in the early 80's I had a 71 bus and a 69 camper bus. Never had any trouble starting or stopping them with the whole inside loaded with newspapers. What a great boat tow vehicle the camper was. Used it to pull a 14' jon boat with 30 hp evinrude. Man wish I still had the camper bus.
