Firemaniac's (Re)Build

...ask your questions in the appropriate forums BUT document your build here...preferably in a single thread...dates for updates, are appreciated....

Well, it has been an interesting couple of months. The on-call position I started at the hospital has turned into a .8 full time (32 hrs a week, enough to include bennies) but it is mostly 3rd watch. so this (re)build has progressed slower than I want it to.

In the mean time I have purchased a used canopy for the truck, and finished wiring the second battery in the truck.

Currently the trailer is acting as a kayak hauler as I get ready to put a rack over the canopy for the kayaks, it also has served purpose to haul home the new lumber for the (re)build. I am in the process of ordering, and stockpiling parts to be ready for a building frenzy (crossing fingers) in either late July, or early August.

Just seen this.

Sorry you had to do the "right thing" and kill off the trailer. But it was probably the best thing.

I do hope that despite my best efforts, I do not end up in a similar position.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

Oh my. Sorry to see such a mess.

This forum has been great though, I can see all of the issues that might crop up so I can try to make my first build better.

Thanks guys!

We learn as much or more from what went wrong than from what went right. Good luck.

FINALLY

Postby firemaniac » Wed Aug 18, 2010 5:00 pm

I have finally started the building again. Didn't get much done, but it feels good to be building again.

I started by applying an undercoating to the floor, I will let this dry for at least overnight, and turn it over, and bolt it down tomorrow afternoon.
