:( I had to take my dog to the vet yesterday and have her put to sleep, It was allot harder to do than i expected it to be. She had been a part of my family since 1999 when i rescued her from the animal shelter and she was about 3 or 4 then funny thing is she turned out to be one of the best dogs i've ever had and will miss her very much.

Just wanted to vent a little, no need to respond.

Major hugs and condolances to you for the loss of your furfriend/furkid. This has been a hard year for me and my furkids, so I understand your loss.

Hi Chuckles2153,

My condolences on the loss of your furry faithful friend.

We found our little cocker spaniel, Darby, dead in her cage,
about a week ago, when we went to let her out in the morning.
At 11 years, her heart just gave out. She was such a sweet and
friendly little dog. It helps a little that she passed in her sleep, but
it just isn't the same around here now with her gone. So we know
how you feel.

Maybe in time you will be able to help out another new rescue as you did
with your little friend.

Thanks Thomas, Sharon and zapj. I'm really trying hard to not cut any corners and do this the best i can do, I must be doing it right cause the little wife loves to get in there and just set AND keeps asking when it's going to be finished  .

I'd also like to thank everyone for their condolences ( ratkity,2bits and mezmo ) I was going to take her on the first outing with us, she loved to go camping ( sooo many different smells to explore ) ratkity and mezmo, i'm sorry for your loss also and i will definatly get my next one from the pound i just think it's the right thing to do to save an animal from being put down over buying one.

I'll have more pics. to post in the coming days !!

Well i tried my hand at bending she aluminum trim and failed in a big way!!! even with a set of shrinker / stretchers i could'nt get all the curves right, there's just too many to do in one piece. $ 127.37 down the drain!! I think i'll go back to my original plan and do it out of wood.

Does anyone want to see pics of my many failed attempts?

I'm back on the build and hoping for an march finish

Postby Chuckles2153 » Wed Feb 09, 2011 5:51 pm

Finally after months of touching the camper I'm back at it with a fever to try and finish it in time for the spring gathering.
So let's start with the inside which is all finished up!! :D
This pic. is of the inside back cabinets, I added some drawers underneath for more storage and a cubby hole in the center for the dvd player.
Image

Second is of the passangers side, I tried to get a better shot of the rope trim i put around the doors and around the top, Sorry.
Image

This one shows my lights on and working!!!! it also has a better showing of the rope.
Image

These are the front cabinets, the doors at the bottom are hinged from the bottom and held with some strong maganets.
Image

Here's a pic of the 2 drawers opened i think they will do just fine for socks and underwear etc...
Image

I don't have the back hatch mounted yet but wanted to post a pic. to show how it's going to look, I was really suprised at how much nicer it look with a hatch  Still need to get the aluminum for it though.
Image

And a nice little pic. of my storage compartment up front, Where my battery will be as well as my yet-to-be-bought pet cool!!!
Image

I shut the lights of in the shop to get a few pics. of it lit up, Just could'nt hep me self.

I don't have alot left to finish, Skinning the hatch, exterior trim :( ( HARD ),building the door for the storage box and the trailer wiring for the signal lights along with some minor things and I'M DONE !!!!!
So tell me what you all think of how it's turning out.
