I really disliked these

So the other night my friend brought me some old auto taillights. I degrunged them; painted them, added a new socket with a ground wire. The seals were still good and I used that to make a template

When I removed the yucky units; I found several sets of holes; these must have been replaced several times. I used one hole to locate the template, drilled 3 more holes and cut clearance for the buckets.

And got the buckets installed

I'm pleased with the results

All the views and not one question?

OK, I'm done with unscrambling the wiring; put power up and this is the result

I thought those were Mustang taillights but couldn't quite tell in the first pic Ageless. Those look real good, and keep a nice vintage theme going too. A proper job and improvement!

Those really look great on it!!! I love it when someone takes a light, or hood ornament or other auto item and applies it to a trailer in a professional fashion like this...It really separates you from all the others! Good job! So who is going to be the first to do the sequential Cougar taillights on one? Doug

You mean with all those holes you had to drill more?

You must have really pissed off the gods in a past life to deserve all those holes and still have to drill more to mount your new lights in this life!

It appears that you were able to cover most of the old holes up. Good job and the new look is a nice upgrade. You might consider a little white Marine Tex epoxy to fill in any remaining holes.

Cheers,

Gus

I changed the subject line so I can add pics and changes as i go along.

Looking at the placement; I should have mounted them further outboard. I'll correct that when I do the complete refurbish.

Saturday it rained so I pulled out the old Singer and made curtains
