Hey mvperini,
What a great find! The Boles Aeros aren't as plentiful as
Airsteams or Avions but are in the same league in my view.
I hope you choose to restore it. It is well worthy of doing that.
The original flooring you pictured looks like real linoleum,
especially since it is circa 1951. Real linoleum has a texture/
feel and look that vinyl doesn't and can't simulate. It sort of got
superceded by vinyl here in the US. It is now again available
in the US. [I understand it is only made in Europe now.] Look for
"Marmoleum" which is a brand name for the manufacturer
of the real linoleum that is again available here. It is often listed
as a "green" product since it is made of all "natural" materials not
from petrochemicals. It is a little more high end price-wise usually.
Since you really won't need a large amount of it I hope you decide
to use it in the restoration. It will will be a detail that helps 'make'
the final result of your efforts. It is also naturally antiseptic, so I read.
It looks like it is available several ways - tiles, sheets, snap&click etc.
and various sites have pdf files of info for installation etc.
Here are some links I found:

Click on "Marmoleum Click" and scroll down to "Indian Summer".
It looks like a close enough match to he pic you posted.
'Hope this helps.
