What a great idea with the sky lite !!! As fer ME...I like it DARK when I go to sleep so I even covered up the screen on my top vent to make it dark inside the teardrop..jus put a piec of newspaper under the lid, on top of the screen.

Great build thread.....and ain't it great when ya can finally go campin in it !!!! Done or not !

I'm learnin PLENTY from y'all fer when I finally BUILD one.

Nicely done on the outside!
A couple of quick notes:

You will probably want to reinforce the area where the tongue jack is located. I've seen a few trailers now where the a-frame bar twists.

The light extensions are nice and I know you mentioned that you're putting new lights on later but I fear that with only one bolt in that bracket, you're probably going to have to keep pushing the light back up so it's not pointing at the ground. For now, you might want to put a temporary strap on them to keep them pointing where they're supposed to.

skylight/interior

Postby VaLEWF » Mon Jun 27, 2011 11:48 pm

The skylight is a unique feature. How well will the plexiglas hold up?
I am very interested in seeing your interior plans for this camper.
