what failed and why failed ?
i dont know exactly what type welding it is :oops: but there is like 20 years experience who made that frame.

im doing all that awoid side way movement makeing reinforcement with plywood walls and so .... (glue and rivets)

trailer underframe self is iron and so is tongue ! only cabin frame is aluminium !

The entire frame is aluminum and the tongue is not strong enough. One of the problems if engineering is not done well is that it has a limited modulus of elasticity, meaning that it will flex only a certain number of times before it brakes. That frame had more than 10,000 miles on it and it broke fortunately not a busy road or high speed. Since you do not have an aluminum tongue it is not a concern.
Aluminum is great as long as it is engineered properly, witness aircraft that are still flying i.e. DC3. But you also hear of wing spar failures on old aircraft.

i had dream that some day (more time and money) make full aluminium underframe and tongue

now .... i dont think so ...

but what was your tongue dimensions ?
my plan was like 1,5X4 inch tube for tongue ?

removed the ruber gasket or seal between frame and old floor, cleaned the frame and coated first light coat of paint
