Are you going to do the flat overhanging roof with corbels?
Single roofline or a step down?

I love where your headed with this
My mind envisions something like this

Geeezzzzzzzzzz ... I just went back and looked through this thread ... a L-O-T has gone missing! I knew I'd posted a drawing of the latest concept (more-or-less what we're headed for), and I had, but it looks like it got lost in the move to the new Forum ...

I'll try to see if this will work (linking the pic from my Forum) ... if not, I'll just post the URL and you can go see for yourselves ... ;)

Image

Yes, Chris ... that's pretty close to what I have in mind! Not quite as much overhang on the roof part, though. If the image comes through, you'll see what I have in mind. I do like the idea of the mast ... would give us a great place to fly our Jefferson State & US flags from ... might have to figure out a way to adapt that to the front (can't go all the way to the frame, though ... would interfere with the propane tank access doors).

Thanks for everyone's interest! As always ...

Beautiful job Grant!

The first time through the concept picture wasn't there so I had a really hard time trying to understand what you were up to. Now I get it! My Dad would love this, he used to be a merchant seaman back in the 50s.

And thanks again for the support on my build, we are just putting the finishing touches on and the maiden voyage is this weekend for a two week trip.

Take care.

Grant,
Why don't you make your last effort really count and do something like this:

Hi Grant,

I came across this and immediately thought of your build:

100835

It's from a boat restoration blog [ http://somedaylady.wordpress.com/ ]
that is very interesting to go through - and -they're doing a great job on it.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo
