Do you see the dowel-like area along the side of the opening to the pull-out section? It may be the kind of weather stripping that they are using on commercial pull-outs or Roly may have made something similar. Below is a closer picture of what that pull-out weather stripping looks like:

It's like a super-heavy-duty garage door seal.
